Malaysian Hospitality

It goes without saying that we Malaysians are well known for our hospitality. Usually if the season is right, we bring our foreign friends to have a go at the King of Fruits aka the Durian, and usually the results are hilarious as you can attest from the above video.

This time round we have our friend Prof. Thiago 'Monstro' Borges who hails from Brazil. Despite what you see in the video, I am sure deep, deep, deep, deep down he really likes Durians and can't wait for the next time we have another go.

It also goes without saying that Durians will energize you like nothing else. It even gives you
Capoeira skills...hahaha.

UFC 124 Preview - ESPN MMA Georges St. Pierre's Mascot Self-Defense Training

One reason why thousands of MMA fans love GSP is because he is an all round nice guy. Having a sense of humour helps too. Hope you like Georges' advert for ESPN too. Funny.

Beautiful, Just Beautiful

Last night's class was fun. The class was basically broken into 2 teams and we were given some challenges to compete against each other. Thankfully our team won. The losers gave us a performance which was quite interesting and mildlly entertaining.

Introducing the escobarbjj ballet company :-

Subsequently we had a mini competition as a form of preparation for the guys who are headed to Bangkok to compete at the end of October. As usual I was gassed...hahaha. Yes I know ,I am a sad individual but hey we live to fight another day

Singapore Bashing

This joke is a gem. It's 230 am and I am laughing my ass off. Here goes :

It is the final round of the Miss Universe Pageant and the 3 finalists, Miss USA, Miss Malaysia and Miss Singapore were being asked 3 simple questions.

MC: The first question is name me an electrical appliance starting with the letter "L".

Miss USA: Lamp
Miss Malaysia: Light bulb
Miss Singapore: LADIO

Judge: No, no, Radio does not start with the letter "L". MC: I am going to give you 2 more chances.

The next question is name me an animal starting with the letter "L".

Miss USA: Lion
Miss Malaysia: Leopard
Miss Singapore: LABBIT

Judge: No, no, no, Rabbit does not start with the letter "L". MC: I am going to give you one last chance, if you answer this question incorrectly, you are disqualified.

Name me a fruit starting with the letter "L"

Miss USA: Lemon
Miss Malaysia: Lychee
Miss Singapore, with full of confidence, smiles and says: LIEWLIAN !!

This is not the end of the story, the Judge consulted the board of judges to determine if Miss Singapore should really disqualified and they decided that since Miss Singapore was having problems with the letter "L", the decided to give her another chance.

Judge: OK, the final question is name me a human anatomy starting with the letter "L"

Miss USA: Lung (applause)
Miss Malaysia: Liver (even more applause)
Miss Singapore: LAN JIAO

Michael Jackson In Malaysia

I've seen my fair share of impressionists of MJ from Malaysia and I've enjoyed most of them. Some were really good and some were, shall we say interesting. But check out the guy above. 5  for guts

What Did You Say To Me?

If you ever go down to Kuantan, you will find this stationery shop right in the middle of town. The stand out feature of this shop (to me at least) is the name. It's a typical Malaysian-style stationery shop run by a typical Chinese boss i.e. it is a stationery shop which also sells sports equipment. And if you look hard enough you will probably find the apparatus which does the 'wiring' of badminton rackets/racquets hidden in the corner

Any kid from any small Malaysian town will know what I am talking about. There used to be more of these shops around but I suspect that they are a dying breed. I hope I am wrong though.

Anyway if you take a good look at the top right hand corner of the picture, you will notice A&A Hotel which is open 24 hours. Personally I wouldn't want to stay in a hotel that opens for less than 24 hours, but that's just me
